WAVUS is short for Wendover & Villages Ukrainian Support Group, standing in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. We aim to provide essential support to Ukrainian families and their hosts, residing in the Wendover & Villages Community Board area.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Wendover & Villages Community Board comprises the market town of Wendover with nine surrounding villages - Aston Clinton, Bierton with Broughton, Buckland, Drayton Beauchamp, Halton, Hulcott, Kingsbrook, Stoke Mandeville & Weston Turville
Neighbouring Aylesbury, Chesham & Villages, the Missendens and Risborough Community Boards have Ukraine Support groups already in place but there is a gap between the Missendens and Aylesbury

Within the Wendover & Village Community Board area there are approx. 100 Ukrainian guests, staying mostly in Wendover (about 36%) and surrounding villages of Stoke Mandeville (25%), Weston Turville (13%), Aston Clinton (23%), and Bierton (3%).
